The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) commended the Freedom Flotilla, which set sail for the Gaza Strip in a courageous move aimed at drawing attention to the suffering of the Palestinian people at the hands of the enemy and its systematic killing machine, and in an attempt to break the unjust blockade imposed on them since the beginning of last March.
The DFLP said in a press statement on Wednesday: The heroes of the Freedom Flotilla deserve our full respect, and we should be proud of them as messengers defending the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to freedom and a secure life on their homeland, Palestine, on which they can build their national entity and distinctive character, preserve their civilization and heritage, and shape their future.
The Democratic Front called on the influential forces in the world to intervene effectively in order to pressure the enemy to secure a safe passage for the Freedom Flotilla to reach the Gaza Strip in a humanitarian message.
The international community must bow to it and accept it, and strengthen its intervention to stop the war of genocide that our people have been subjected to at the hands of the fascist Zionist colonial project for more than 20 months.
