The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced on Monday evening that it had carried out a complex humanitarian evacuation from the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO).
In a statement reported by Anadolu Agency, the society said:
“Our teams, in coordination with the World Health Organization, executed a complex humanitarian evacuation from the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, involving three injured individuals, 34 medical staff members, and two companions, amid the severe escalation in violence and rapidly deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the area.”
The society noted that the operation required hours of precise field coordination, and was part of its ongoing efforts to protect health workers and provide care for the injured in safer locations, in light of the devastating health situation in northern Gaza, caused by the tight siege and repeated targeting of medical facilities.
The Red Crescent emphasized that this mission reflects its deep humanitarian and national commitment to saving lives and supporting the community, reaffirming its unwavering dedication to medical teams and relief workers, despite the grave risks and escalating challenges on the ground.
