The Board of Directors of al-Dhahir Agricultural Cooperative Society on Monday discussed and approved the district's development plan for the year 1447 AH and its implementation strategy. The meeting was chaired by the district's director Naji al-Sharif.
The meeting focused on development work priorities in the district, drawing from the outcomes of a session held in Sana'a regarding the plan.
Attended by members of the local council, office officials, and association members, the meeting approved the development plan.
It highlighted the importance of supporting community initiatives, particularly in water, roads, health, education, and economic empowerment. The need for unified efforts and support for the association's work was also emphasized.
Al-Dhahir Reserve project was also discussed, with a focus on preserving vegetation, limiting excessive firewood collection, and expanding the planting of forest and food trees beneficial for bees and livestock.
Ongoing projects were addressed, with an emphasis on their completion and the encouragement of community initiatives to build water barriers and harvesting tanks.
During the meeting, the district director stressed the importance of supporting al-Dhaher Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Society to advance the agricultural and development sectors in the district.
He also highlighted the role of al-Dhaher Reserve in producing medicinal honey, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to achieve the reserve's goals and leverage its diverse vegetation.
