Brussels – SABA:
Belgium has decided to adopt a harsher tone toward “Israel” over the famine unfolding in the Gaza Strip.
Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot stated in a press interview on Sunday: “I don’t know what more we need to witness—displacement and violations—to sound the alarm about what is happening in Gaza.”
He noted that Belgium is coordinating with other European countries to ensure sufficient humanitarian aid reaches Gaza, adding, “We have pushed for the European Union to take action regarding its partnership with ‘Israel’.”
Prévot also announced that Belgium has decided to receive a number of Palestinian children and injured individuals for medical treatment in Belgium.
The Israeli entity resumed its aggression on Gaza at dawn on March 18, 2025, launching airstrikes across the Strip and reneging on a ceasefire agreement with Hamas and other resistance factions that had lasted for nearly 60 days under U.S., Egyptian, and Qatari mediation.
