Occupied Quds - Saba:
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated that the Israeli enemy authorities, by announcing the conversion of 22 settlement sites and outposts into full-fledged settlements, are putting themselves not only in confrontation with the Palestinian people but also with the entire world, which condemns settlements and refuses to recognize or compromise what they are trying to impose on the ground.
The head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Minister Mu'ayyad Shaaban, explained in a statement that the new step announced by the Israeli enemy cabinet will strengthen settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory.
He added that settlements aim to further tamper with geography and impose a new layer of racial segregation and apartheid by granting settlers all privileges at the expense of the original owners of the land.
He pointed out that the new settlement sites being discussed include four in Ramallah, four in Jenin, four in Hebron, two in Nablus, one in Salfit, three in Jericho, three in the Jordan Valley, and the last in occupied Quds.
Shaaban explained that four of these sites are classified as full settlements in the Authority's databases, due to the occupation's approval of master plans for them in recent years. Three other sites are classified as military sites, one of which is classified as a military observation post.
Three other sites are classified as religious sites. The list includes two settlements evacuated in 2005 under the disengagement law, which was implemented and later amended in 2023, which stipulated the return of settlements to settlements in the northern West Bank. Five of the sites are classified as entirely new.
He explained that the occupation authorities had previously been evasive in announcing the establishment of new settlements, claiming they were merely carrying out expansion operations. However, they are now revealing their true face to the world through their lies over the past years regarding the annexation of Palestinian lands and the assault on the basic rights and national capabilities of the Palestinian people.
