Tulkarm - (Saba):

Israeli enemy forces continue their aggression against the city of Tulkarm and its camp for the 124th consecutive day, and for the 111th day against the Nur Shams camp, amidst escalating field operations, continuous reinforcements, the persecution of citizens, and the demolition of their homes.

The Palestinian News Agency reported that the city is witnessing intensive movements of Israeli enemy vehicles and infantry units around the clock, patrolling the main streets and neighborhoods, sounding their horns in a provocative manner, driving against traffic, and setting up surprise checkpoints, especially in the center of the market, Nablus Street, and around the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital. Citizens and vehicles are subjected to being stopped, searched, interrogated, and abused.

This morning, Israeli forces arrested Akram Farajallah after raiding his home in the Dhnaba suburb east of the city and vandalizing its contents. He is a former detainee.

In the same context, Israeli bulldozers continued their demolition of homes in Nour Shams camp, specifically in the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque area in the center of the camp. This is part of a plan to demolish 106 residential buildings, including 48 in Nour Shams camp. Live ammunition was fired at residents and media crews as they watched the demolition of their homes in the wooded area opposite the camp.

In a subsequent development, Israeli soldiers raided the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque, climbed onto its roof, and raised their flags on its minaret.

In Tulkarm camp, Israeli forces yesterday prevented residents from entering their homes threatened with demolition to retrieve their belongings, despite prior coordination, including through identity checks and interrogations. They prevented a number of residents from entering, while randomly firing live ammunition to intimidate them. The attack also targeted Palestinian Red Crescent Society crews in Tulkarm.

This came after the Israeli enemy notified residents of 58 buildings in the camp of immediate demolition orders. These buildings contain more than 250 housing units. The Israeli army announced that only four entrances and exits would be designated for the owners of the homes threatened with demolition, giving them only three hours to enter. It warned that "failure to adhere to the designated entrances and exits will endanger the lives of violators."

Over the past two weeks, Nur Shams camp has witnessed a demolition campaign that has affected more than 20 residential buildings in its main neighborhoods, damaging neighboring buildings. This comes amid a stifling siege on the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, accompanied by occasional gunfire and explosions.

Israeli forces also continue to seize homes and residential buildings on Nablus Street and the adjacent northern neighborhood, after forcibly evacuating their residents and converting them into military barracks. Some of these buildings have been under occupation for more than three months.

Nablus Road, which connects the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, has also suffered extensive damage after the occupation forces placed intermittent earth mounds along its length several months ago. This significantly impacted vehicle traffic and exacerbated the suffering of civilians.

The ongoing Israeli aggression has resulted in the deaths of 13 civilians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens have also been wounded and detained, and the widespread destruction of infrastructure, homes, shops, and vehicles has been caused by demolitions, arson, and looting.

This escalation has led to the displacement of more than 4,200 families from the two camps, representing over 25,000 residents. It has also led to the complete destruction of more than 400 homes and the partial destruction of 2,573 others. The entrances and alleys of the two camps have been sealed off with earth mounds, transforming them into isolated areas almost devoid of any sign of life.
