The Chilean government announced that its embassy in "Israel" informed the Israeli authorities on Wednesday of its decision to withdraw the military, defense, and air attachés serving in the mission in Tel Aviv.
This decision, coordinated between Chile's Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense, comes in response to the extremely dire humanitarian situation faced by Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip due to the disproportionate and indiscriminate military operations carried out by the Israeli army, as well as the ongoing obstacles preventing humanitarian aid from reaching the Palestinian territories.
According to the Palestinian News Agency, the Chilean government has called on "Israel" to halt its military operations in the occupied Palestinian territories, allow the entry of humanitarian aid, and comply with international law and international humanitarian law.
