Gaza – SABA:
The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas announced on Wednesday evening that it is making significant efforts to end the brutal war on the Gaza Strip.
In an official statement released via its Telegram channel, received by the Yemeni News Agency SABA, the movement confirmed that it had reached an understanding with U.S. envoy Steve Weitekamp on a general framework for a permanent ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid, and the formation of a professional committee to manage Gaza’s affairs upon announcement of the agreement.
The statement further noted that the proposed deal includes the release of ten Israeli captives and several bodies in exchange for an agreed-upon number of Palestinian prisoners, under the guarantee of mediators.
Hamas concluded by stating that it is now awaiting a final response to the proposed framework.
