Capital Sana'a mayor Dr. Hamoud Ubad on Wednesday launched new cleaning equipment and machinery worth 574 million Y.R. The project was funded by the Cleaning and Improvement Fund and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
The Mayor stated that the new equipment, including nine large machines, is part of a partnership with UNOPS in service areas like cleaning. He stressed the need for more resources to elevate the capital's cleanliness.
Dr. Ubad called on all entities and citizens to help maintain Sana'a's beauty and cleanliness, seeing the city's appearance as a reflection of its people.
The inauguration, attended by city and UNOPS officials, revealed that the new equipment includes five crushers and four large dump trucks, with funding contributions from both the local fund and UNOPS. Officials praised UNOPS' support, noting the new equipment will improve cleaning efforts.
