A meeting held on Tuesday in Sana'a, chaired by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Samir Bajjalah, discussed the needs of the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled and ways to provide for them.
The meeting, attended by the Deputy Minister of Finance for Budget Affairs and Fund Board Member Fuad Al-Kumaim, as well as the Fund’s Executive Director Dr. Ali Mughalli, reviewed a report on the Fund’s expenditures, resources, and the educational and health projects and programs it implements, benefiting hundreds of thousands of disabled individuals.
Participants emphasized the crucial role of the Fund in supporting the disabled community, whose numbers have risen due to aggression and blockade, now representing 15% of Yemen’s population.
The meeting concluded with several decisions aimed at enhancing the Fund’s role, enabling it to fulfill its obligations, and addressing financial challenges it faces.
