Taiz concludes summer courses

Summer courses concluded in Taiz governorate on Monday with a speech ceremony and a scout show for summer school students.

The event was organized by the governorate's Summer Activities Subcommittee under the theme "Knowledge and Jihad."

At the closing ceremony, attended by Shura Council members Salah Bajash and Mahmoud Bajash, and Assistant Commander of the Fourth Military Region, Brigadier General Mohammed al-Khaled, Dr. Mohammed al-Saqqaf, a member of the Supreme Committee for Summer Activities and Courses, praised the commitment of the governorate's local authority leadership, the mobilization forces, and field workers to fulfilling their educational duties and national responsibilities with competence and dedication.

He highlighted the importance of the summer courses in fortifying and protecting young people from the dangers of soft warfare and misinformed cultures. He highlighted the lessons and activities the students received over the course of 50 days, including lessons and activities in memorizing and learning the Holy Quran, Quranic culture, sports, social, and agricultural activities, as well as exhibitions and competitions. They also learned valuable knowledge.

The governorate's mobilization official and vice chairman of the subcommittee for summer activities and courses, Mohammed Al-Khalidi, praised the efforts of those in charge of the summer schools and their significant contributions to the success of the summer courses in the governorate's districts.

At the closing ceremony, governorate's director of summer activities and courses Mohammed al-Abbadi explained that the number of summer schools reached 850, distributed across 13 districts, with 73,000 students enrolled.

He considered the summer courses an important and fruitful investment in the future of generations, with a positive impact on society in terms of awareness, knowledge, culture, and resilience, protecting young people and protecting them from deviance and loss.
