During a six-day free eye camp organized by the Health Care Association for Affected Communities at Rada'a Central Hospital in Bayda, 279 surgeries were performed, including 231 cataract removals and 42 pterygium removals.
The camp, funded by the General Authority for Zakat and held in cooperation with the governorate's health office, provided services to 1,714 patients from poor families.
The association's president, Dr. Nashwan al-Attab, highlighted the camp's aim to promote social solidarity and praised Zakat Authority's humanitarian support.
