Hebron – Saba:
Today, Saturday, Israeli occupation soldiers opened fire on a Palestinian young man, claiming he attempted to carry out a stabbing at the "Tamar" checkpoint in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood of Hebron.

The Palestinian Civil Affairs Authority informed the Ministry of Health that the young man, Ahmad Barakat Numan Sharif (35 years old), sustained serious gunshot wounds from the occupation forces in Hebron, according to the Ma'an News Agency.

The Israeli army alleged that a young man approached the checkpoint and attempted to carry out a stabbing attack, prompting them to shoot and "neutralize" him. They claimed none of their soldiers were injured.

Yasser Abu Markhiya, a resident of Tel Rumeida, cited eyewitness accounts stating that the young man was shot in the foot by the occupation forces. He was then restrained, placed on a stretcher, and covered before being loaded into a yellow Red Star of David (Magen David Adom) ambulance. It appears he will be transferred to an Israeli hospital.

Local sources reported seeing a civilian lying on the ground surrounded by occupation soldiers at the "Itamar" checkpoint in Tel Rumeida in central Hebron. The area remains tense, with a heavy deployment of Israeli forces and the arrival of three occupation ambulances.

The sources confirmed that the Israeli army had closed all entrances to Tel Rumeida, as well as the adjacent Martyrs' Street.
