[24/ May/2025]

Moscow - Saba:

The commander of the Russian Akhmat special forces, Apti Alaudinov, announced on Saturday that the bodies of thousands of Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, abandoned by their comrades, remain in the battlefields in the border area of Russia's Kursk Oblast.

Sputnik quoted Alaudinov as saying: "They (the Ukrainian Armed Forces) are following the tactic of absolute indifference, as they say, to their units. That is, they throw them away like meat and destroy them in large groups."

He noted that "the leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is indifferent to the dead and wounded among its personnel."

He explained that a large number of bodies of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers remain on the battlefields along the contact line.

Alaudinov added, "The wounded are not being evacuated, and the bodies of the dead are not being removed at all. They end up lying by the thousands along the perimeter of the area where the fighting with Ukrainian forces took place."

Earlier, Russian paratroopers told Sputnik that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were preventing Russian fighters from evacuating the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers killed in the border area of Russia's Kursk Oblast by shelling and drone strikes.

On April 26, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, informed Russian President Vladimir Putin of the completion of the operation to liberate the Kursk Oblast from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
