Hundreds of people demonstrated in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, on Friday in solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and in rejection of the genocide being committed by the Zionist enemy with American support.
According to Anadolu Agency, the demonstrations began after Friday prayers in front of the Grand Mosque in Nouakchott.
Participants raised the Mauritanian and Palestinian flags and chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian factions and condemning the genocide being committed by the enemy with American support in the Gaza Strip.
The demonstration was called for by the "Student Initiative to Combat Zionist Infiltration and Defend Just Causes" (a non-governmental organization active in supporting the Palestinian cause).
The demonstrators called on Arab and Islamic peoples to return to vigorous marches and protests and to pressure their regimes to act to halt the aggression.
The demonstrators reiterated their commitment to continuing to organize marches and protests until the war of extermination in Gaza stops, holding the United States responsible for the ongoing genocide.
In the same context, Mauritanian parties called for a mass march tomorrow evening, Saturday, to demand an end to the war of extermination waged by the enemy.
Since March 2, the crossings have been closed, and no humanitarian aid has entered Gaza, plunging the Strip into a state of famine, according to the Government Information Office in Gaza.
