Palestinian Unions & Federations Alliance condemns zionist restrictions on aid entry into Gaza
[23/ May/2025]
Gaza - Saba:
The Palestinian Unions and Federations Alliance to Address the Repercussions of the Aggression on Gaza has denounced the ongoing Zionist enemy’s restrictions and prevention of food supplies and essential aid from entering the Gaza Strip, amid the worsening humanitarian crisis faced by over two million citizens in the enclave.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Alliance emphasized that using food and fuel as tools for political blackmail constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and a breach of the enemy’s obligations under the Fourth Geneva Convention, which mandates the provision of basic needs for civilians under occupation.

The statement added that the accumulation of aid convoys at crossings, due to the continued blockade and the absence of practical steps to facilitate their entry, has exacerbated famine and deteriorating living conditions in Gaza. It noted that the enemy deliberately allows only a limited number of aid trucks, far below the minimum needs of the population, further deepening the crisis and leading to chaos and violations.

The Alliance demanded an immediate halt to the Zionist aggression, the lifting of the siege on Gaza, and an end to all forms of targeting civilians and infrastructure.

It called for the immediate and unconditional entry of humanitarian aid, including food, fuel, and medical supplies, without political restrictions or conditions. It also urged enabling Palestinian Authority institutions and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to oversee the entry and fair distribution of aid across all governorates of Gaza.

The Alliance rejected any attempts to bypass or marginalize the role of UNRWA, stressing that it is the internationally authorized body responsible for Palestinian refugees’ affairs. It also warned against Zionist efforts to eliminate UNRWA’s historical role.

Additionally, the Alliance demanded an end to the politicization of humanitarian aid, affirming that the right to food, medicine, and basic services is an inalienable human right that should not be subject to negotiation. It called on the international community and the United Nations to intervene urgently and pressure the enemy to open crossings and ensure unimpeded aid flow.

The Alliance further called for forming an independent UN-monitored committee to oversee aid entry and prevent obstruction, urging the Security Council to address violations in this regard.
It stressed that the human right to food and dignity must remain above all political and military considerations, calling for immediate international action to end the siege and ensure the safe and organized delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza’s population.
