Sana'a - Saba:
The Supreme Committee of the Correction Movement affirmed that the blessed occasion of Yemeni Unity stands apart from all other anniversaries, as it represents the culmination of an entire people’s struggles against colonialism, tyranny, backwardness, fragmentation, and conspiracies aimed at thwarting its realization.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the committee emphasized that the Yemeni people paid a heavy price in their long march toward unity, with caravans of martyrs—foremost among them President Ibrahim al-Hamdi** and President Salem Rubai Ali.
The statement highlighted that this noble dream, which Yemenis pursued for centuries until its realization on May 22, 1990, embodied the will of the people and the September and October Revolutions. Had the management of unity at that time been commensurate with this great achievement, Yemen today would stand among the world’s leading nations.
The committee warned of the dangers threatening Yemen, exposed during the Jeddah Conference, which seek to overthrow Yemeni unity, divide its land and people, and sow seeds of hatred, sectarianism, and terrorism to tear apart Yemen’s social fabric. It called for national unity to confront these schemes.
On this occasion, the Correction Movement reiterated its full support for the revolutionary and political leadership in their steadfast stance:
- Supporting Gaza, the West Bank, and all of Palestine.
- Confronting the American-British-Israeli aggression with the heroic resistance of the Yemeni Armed Forces.
