Sana’a – SABA:
The Secretary General of the Presidency, Hassan Sharaf al-Din, sent a congratulatory message to Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, on the occasion of the 35th National Day of the Republic of Yemen – May 22.
In his message, Sharaf al-Din conveyed his warmest congratulations and blessings, highlighting that May 22 remains a landmark in Yemen’s modern history, and a national occasion in which the Yemeni people reaffirm their commitment to the values of unity, sovereignty, and freedom.
He noted that the establishment of Yemeni unity renewed the pledge to build a free, independent, prosperous, and unified Yemen, founded on justice and national sovereignty.
“As we celebrate this cherished occasion,” he said, “we commend the sacrifices and heroism of the armed forces and security personnel, who continue to defend the nation and its sovereignty against the forces of aggression and blockade.”
He also expressed deep appreciation for their honorable stances and heroic struggle in supporting the just causes of the nation, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, which remains Yemen’s first and central issue.
Sharaf al-Din emphasized that the steadfastness of the Yemeni people over the past decade, and their sacrifices for freedom and independence, send a clear message to the world that Yemen — its leadership and its people — will not deviate from its principles, nor retreat from its path of liberation. He reaffirmed Yemen’s loyalty to its national values, its unwavering presence in the struggle of the Ummah, and its defiance in the face of oppression, hegemony, and arrogance.
