The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has announced a special transfer window for all 32 clubs participating in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. This window will be open from June 1 to June 10, 2025, allowing teams to register new players ahead of the tournament.
This move is part of the updated regulations on the status and transfer of players, approved by FIFA’s Council in October 2024, aiming to address inconsistencies in registration periods and domestic season calendars across participating countries, and to offer clubs more flexibility in strengthening their squads.
Under the new rules, clubs can register new players during this special window, with the final deadline for submitting official squad lists being June 10, 2025. This enables teams to bring their new signings to the United States for the tournament. Additionally, an extra opportunity to register or replace players will be available after the group stage, from June 27 to July 3, 2025, subject to specific conditions, including that transfers occur within an official registration period. This aims to encourage players whose contracts have expired to participate, and ensures a high level of competition.
Teams from 20 national football associations will take part in this anticipated tournament, representing countries including:
Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Portugal, UAE, South Africa, Spain, Tunisia, and the USA.
The largest and most inclusive edition of the FIFA Club World Cup will kick off on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, featuring 32 elite clubs from around the globe. The tournament will run until July 13, with the final taking place at the iconic MetLife Stadium.

Atlanta, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, New York, New Jersey, Orlando, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.
