Gaza – Saba:
The Palestinian "Al-Ahrar" (Freedom) Movement strongly condemned the visit of Mahmoud Abbas, the so-called president of the Palestinian Authority, to Lebanon on Wednesday evening, aimed at reaching an agreement with the Lebanese government to disarm Palestinian refugee camps.
In a statement, the movement said:
"Mahmoud Abbas persists in his unpatriotic downfall, wears betrayal as a badge of honor, and leads a regional campaign to protect the Zionist entity by eliminating any future threat to it."
It added:
"While our Palestinian people are being slaughtered day after day, Mahmoud Abbas—using Palestinian funds and resources—makes a treacherous visit to Lebanon to conspire with President Michel Aoun in disarming Palestinian refugee camps, an unprecedented step."
The movement stated that "such visits expose the true face of Abbas and his cronies, reinforcing convictions about their treacherous role in increasing pressure on Gaza—where war crimes are being committed with impunity—and undermining the resistance that he claims to oppose in all international forums."
It warned:
"Mahmoud Abbas and the Zionized leaders of his authority must know that such behavior constitutes national treason deserving punishment. Our people and their resistance will not tolerate traitors and collaborators, and we will never accept a 'border army' on Palestinian soil."
The statement reflects growing anger among Palestinian factions over Abbas' coordination with occupation-backed schemes, which aim to weaken Palestinian resistance while the Zionist entity continues its genocidal war on Gaza.
