Olmert: War Crimes Are Not Only Committed in Gaza, But Daily in West Bank as Well
[21/ May/2025]

Occupied Quds – Saba:

The so-called former prime minister of the Zionist enemy, Ehud Olmert, admitted on Wednesday evening that "Israel" does not only commit war crimes in the Gaza Strip but also in the occupied West Bank on a daily basis.

In an interview with the official broadcasting authority, Olmert condemned the statements of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who previously called for burning the Palestinian village of Huwara in the northern West Bank.

Olmert stated: "Anyone who calls for burning Palestinian villages is effectively calling for genocide."

He added: "War crimes are not only being committed in Gaza. War crimes are being committed daily in the West Bank by Israelis, while the police and army either fail to prevent them or turn a blind eye." Olmert, who headed the Zionist entity’s government between 2006 and 2009, made these remarks.

He further noted that "this is a political war with no objective; it will not bring back any 'prisoners' and will only lead to the loss of soldiers' lives."

Since October 7, 2023, the Zionist enemy has been waging a genocidal war in Gaza, involving mass killings, destruction, starvation, and forced displacement, while ignoring all international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to halt its aggression.

With American backing, this Zionist aggression has resulted in the deaths and injuries of over 175,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women, along with more than 11,000 missing persons and hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals. A man-made famine has also claimed numerous lives, including children.

Olmert’s statements expose the true nature of the Zionist entity’s crimes, which extend beyond Gaza to the daily atrocities in the West Bank, further confirming the racist and expansionist policies of the occupation regime.
