Cultural and awareness activities were held on Wednesday in several districts of Amran province as part of summer courses.
The activities included scientific, cultural, literary, intellectual, and sports programs, along with other events aimed at strengthening religious identity among youth and students.
The Subcommittee for Summer Courses in Amran City organized a curricular and cultural competition for model and open schools under the slogan "Knowledge and Jihad."
The competition was attended by the province’s Mobilization Officer, Sajjad Hamza, the Education Sector Officer, Zaid Ritas, Amran District Director Abdulrahman Al-Ammad, and Dean of the College of the Holy Quran, Dr. Ahmed Rakb. Students showcased their skills in Quran memorization, poetry, chants, and Quranic knowledge, reflecting the knowledge they have gained.
The competition aimed to evaluate students' levels and refine their cultural, intellectual, and creative skills.
During the event, the Mobilization Officer and the Education Sector Officer emphasized the importance of organizing curricular and cultural competitions to highlight students' talents and encourage excellence.
They stressed the role of summer courses in developing students' academic and awareness skills while protecting them from misleading cultures and soft war, praising the efforts of teachers and organizers in implementing summer programs to nurture an educated generation that serves the nation.
The competition was attended by several service office directors, leaders, and summer school administrators.
Meanwhile, summer schools in the districts of Madan, Al-Ashah, Thula, Hubur Dhulaimah, Kharif, Maswar, Sufyan, and Bani Suraim witnessed cultural activities and student marches.
The events highlighted the importance of summer courses in enhancing students' academic and awareness abilities and shielding them from misleading cultures and the dangers of soft war.
Additionally, summer schools in the province’s districts hosted recreational trips, agricultural , sports programs, and cultural evenings, showcasing the physical, cultural, and creative skills students acquired during the courses.
