The Women's Authority in Taiz governorate on Wednesday marked the conclusion of its summer programs and educational courses for girls.
Samia al-Muayyad, head of the Women's Authority in Taiz, reported that 867 female students and 88 teachers participated in this year's summer sessions, which took place across 19 schools in the districts of al-Taezeyah, Mawiah, Sala, and Shara'b al-Rawnah.
Al-Muayyad highlighted the diverse knowledge gained by the students in religious, educational, developmental, and cultural subjects. She encouraged the participants to apply what they learned and emphasized the crucial role of women in fostering societal awareness through adherence to Quranic principles and by being positive role models.
She also noted the significance of these summer courses in safeguarding female students from soft warfare tactics and commended the girls' active involvement in activities designed to enhance their skills and talents.
The closing ceremony featured a competition on the curriculum, including the Holy Quran, Quranic culture, and various sciences. Al-Sayyida Zainab School in al-Taezeyah district secured first place. The event also included recitations, poetry performances, and the recognition of outstanding students and teachers.
