Amman - Saba :
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli enemy forces for opening fire on a diplomatic delegation comprising over 25 Arab and European ambassadors during their field tour in Jenin province in the occupied West Bank.
The delegation was assessing the humanitarian situation in the area.
In an official statement delivered by its spokesperson, Ambassador Sufyan Al-Qudah, on Wednesday, the ministry described the incident as a blatant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and a crime that contravenes all diplomatic norms.
Jordan expressed its absolute rejection and condemnation of this targeting, which constitutes a breach of diplomatic agreements and conventions—particularly the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. The convention outlines the procedures and regulations governing diplomatic work and grants immunities to diplomatic missions.
Al-Qudah called on the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities, urging it to pressure the Israeli enemy to immediately halt its aggression on Gaza and its dangerous escalation in the occupied West Bank. He further demanded an end to crimes against the Palestinian people and accountability for those responsible.
