The Kremlin reported on Wednesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin made a working visit to Kursk Oblast in the west of the country and held a series of meetings there.
The Kremlin stated that during his visit, which took place on Tuesday, the president met with representatives of volunteer organizations and with the acting governor of Kursk Oblast, Alexander Khinshtein.
In the city of Kurchatov, Putin held a meeting with the mayors of the region and also visited the Kursk-2 nuclear power plant, which is currently under construction.
