The Kuwait Stock Exchange closed trading on Monday with its general index down 8.74 points, or 0.11 percent, to reach 8,043.13 points.
A total of 335.6 million shares were traded, through 19,369 cash transactions, worth KWD 83.8 million (approximately USD 257.2 million).
The Main Market Index lost 19.07 points, or 0.27 percent, to reach 6,997.99 points, through 172.7 million shares traded, through 9,012 cash transactions, worth KWD 23.9 million (approximately USD 73.3 million).
The Premier Market Index also declined by 6.6 points, or 0.08 percent, to reach 8,701.32 points, through 162.8 million shares traded, through 10,357 transactions, worth KWD 59.8 million (approximately USD 183.5 million).
While the Main 50 Index increased by 0.10 points to reach 7,296.59 points, through trading of 117.8 million shares, through 6,281 cash transactions worth 18.3 million dinars (about 56.18 million dollars).
