Academic Accreditation Council grants national accreditation to three programs at Al-Hekma University

The Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council in Sana'a granted on Monday, May 19, 2025, the national programmatic academic accreditation certificate to three programs at Al-Hikma University: Pharmacy, Civil Engineering, and Information Technology.

This took place during an official ceremony organized by the council, where the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, congratulated the university on this achievement, praising its role in improving the quality of education and graduating cadres that meet labor market requirements, urging other universities to strive for accreditation as a tool to enhance performance and ensure quality outputs.

For his part, the council's president, Dr. Ahmed Al-Habboub, confirmed that academic accreditation is a national entitlements and a strategic step towards international recognition, especially in medical specialties, noting the importance of continuing evaluation and monitoring to maintain this achievement.

The council's secretary general, Dr. Mohammed Dayf Allah, pointed out that accreditation is the beginning of a journey to develop higher education and ensure its continuity and quality in accordance with labor market standards.


In this context, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Hikma University, Dr. Salah Mosfar, and the President of the University, Dr. Mukhtar Dael, praised this accreditation, which resulted from intensive efforts in developing laboratories, technical equipment, and infrastructure. They affirmed their continued work to obtain accreditation for the remaining programs of the university and to strive for international recognition.

During the ceremony, the stages and procedures that the accreditation process went through were presented, which included 33 procedures, starting from technical support to the delivery of the academic accreditation shield and certificate to the university.
