Ramallah – Saba:
The Zionist enemy re-arrested freed Palestinian prisoner Yasmin Shaaban on Sunday after raiding her home in the village of "Al-Jalama," northeast of Jenin in the occupied northern West Bank, and completely vandalizing it.

In a media statement, the Prisoners' Media Office reported that Shaaban was freed in November 2023 as part of "Al-Aqsa Flood" prisoner exchange deal, after spending 21 months in the enemy's prisons.

The office noted that Shaaban had been sentenced to six years in prison and an 8,000-shekel fine on charges of supporting the resistance and belonging to the Islamic Jihad movement.

It added that Shaaban was first captured in 2014, spent five years in detention, and was dubbed the "Dean of Palestinian Female Prisoners." She was re-arrested in March 2022, and now, she has been imprisoned once again.

During her detention, Shaaban suffered from asthma and gland-related health issues and endured harsh punishments, including solitary confinement.

The Prisoners' Media Office condemned Shaaban's re-arrest as part of a systematic Zionist policy targeting freed prisoners to inflict suffering and break their national spirit. This constitutes a clear violation of exchange deal terms and a disregard for humanitarian and legal guarantees.
