UNRWA: Israel killed more than 300 of our staff in Gaza
[18/ May/2025]
New York - Saba:

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has said that the number of UNRWA staff killed during the war on the Gaza Strip has exceeded 300.

Agency's Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini added in press statements on Sunday that "the vast majority of staff were killed by the Israeli occupation army, along with their children and loved ones, while many others were killed while performing their duty in serving their communities."

He explained that "most of the martyrs were UN health workers and teachers who supported their communities."

Lazzarini emphasized that nothing justifies the crimes in Gaza, and impunity will lead to more killing.

The enemy forces renewed their aggression against the Gaza Strip at dawn on March 18, 2025, with airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, martyring more than 3,193 civilians and wounding 8,993 others.

This reversal of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas and the resistance factions, which had been brokered by the United States, Egypt, and Qatar for approximately 60 days, was overturned.

With American support, the enemy army has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 171,000 martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
