Its emergency hotline received hundreds of desperate calls from residents seeking protection with the organization stating "needs in Gaza are overwhelming and exceed our response capacity".
Medical facilities have sustained severe damage directly threatening civilian lives as every hospital forced to close or lacking supplies has devastating consequences for civilians already suffering immense pain and trauma.
Recent Israeli attacks severely damaged several hospitals including Gaza European Hospital and Nasser Medical Complex - among the last functioning health facilities - rendering them inoperable due to repeated bombardment.
