Baghdad - (Saba):
The Civil Defense Directorate in Salah al-Din Governorate, Iraq, announced on Sunday that it had extinguished a fire that broke out in the grease unit at the Al-Sumoud oil refinery.
The Director of Civil Defense in the governorate, Brigadier General Moaz Subhi Tawfiq, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "A fire broke out in the grease unit at the Al-Sumoud refinery, with eight civil defense teams participating along with two support teams."
He added, "The fire was extinguished in a record time of no more than 30 minutes," noting that "an investigation has been opened into the causes of the fire."
