Occupied al-Quds- Saba:
A Palestinian youth was martyred Friday evening by Israeli enemy gunfire at Bab al-Silsila in the Old City of occupied al-Quds after carrying out a stabbing attack against an Israeli enemy policeman.
The Israeli enemy police said in a statement that the policeman who was stabbed sustained moderate injuries before other officers opened fire on the attacker.
The Palestinian Safa News Agency reported that a state of alert prevailed among Israeli enemy forces following the stabbing attack, and they rushed in large numbers to the scene at Bab al-Silsila.
The gates of al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City gates of al-Sahira, al-Amoud, and Bab al-Asbat were closed.
The agency indicated that Israeli enemy forces detained worshippers inside al-Aqsa Mosque after closing its gates following the evening prayer.
The enemy forces deployed throughout the courtyards and were positioned at the gates and the site of the attack.
Following the stabbing, Israeli enemy forces brutally beat civilians inside the Old City, and attacked young men with batons as they exited Bab al-Hatta, one of the gates of al-Aqsa Mosque, after it was opened.
