Brussels - Saba:
The leaders of Spain, Norway, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, and Slovenia issued a joint statement on Friday expressing their deep concern over the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, stressing their rejection of silence in the face of the worsening humanitarian catastrophe there.
In their statement, the European leaders called on the Israeli occupation government to immediately reverse its current policies and completely lift the blockade on Gaza.
The statement also condemned the increasing escalation in the West Bank, particularly with the rise in settler violence against Palestinians, demanding an immediate end to these violations.
