The General Directorate of Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Interior concluded the first training course in financial control and internal audit for both resources and expenditures, in accordance with the Government Accounting System manual.
The six-day course, held in cooperation with the Yemeni House for Consultations and Institutional Development, aimed to equip 35 department personnel with skills in financial oversight and internal auditing, in line with government accounting standards.
The closing ceremony was attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Resources Sector Brigadier General Ali Al-Mansour and Director General of Training and Qualification Major General Abdul Fattah Al-Madani. The Director General of Financial Affairs, Brigadier General Youssef Al-Shami, emphasized that the course aligns with the Ministry of Interior's efforts to enhance personnel efficiency and improve performance to ensure transparency and financial discipline.
He noted that the department will proceed with the second and third batches of the training course in the coming days, involving around 60 officers and non-commissioned officers, including heads of departments, audit specialists from the General Directorate, financial personnel, as well as accounting and auditing specialists from provincial security departments, hospitals, traffic police, and facilities guard units.
