The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Friday that its forces had eliminated 8,770 Ukrainian soldiers over the past week and regained control of the town of Volnoye Pole in Donetsk.
In its weekly report on military operations in Ukraine, the ministry stated that Russian forces had carried out strikes on Ukrainian military-industrial facilities, as well as infrastructure at military airfields, storage sites for aircraft and drones, and ammunition depots.
The report added that Russian air defenses had downed 35 guided aerial bombs of the JDAM type, five HIMARS missiles, and 930 drones.
