Iftaa House and the Yemeni Scholars League have called on all Yemeni people to seek forgiveness, sincerely repent, observe piety, and perform the rain prayer (Salat al-Istisqa) after Friday prayers.
In a statement obtained by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the two bodies emphasized the importance of sincere devotion, practical righteousness, a genuine return to the Holy Quran and the authentic Sunnah. They urged steadfastness in faith, submission to Allah’s rulings, reverence for religious rites, avoidance of both apparent , hidden sins and immoral acts.
They stressed the necessity of lifting injustices, defending the oppressed, restoring rights to their rightful owners, caring for the weak and needy, assisting those in hardship, and upholding the principle of enjoining good and forbidding evil and corruption—wherever and by whomever it may be—as these are among the causes of victory, sustenance, rain, and divine mercy.
The two entities also called on scholars and preachers to lead the rain prayer after Friday prayers and to supplicate with humility, sincerity, and good expectations from Allah.
The statement urged the public to participate in tomorrow’s procession and encouraged the organizing committee to raise their hands in earnest supplication, frequently remembering Allah with awareness, reverence, a deep sense of His greatness and boundless mercy.
