Hodeida - Saba:
Deputy Chief of Staff and Head of the National Redeployment Team Major General Ali al-Mawshaki on Tuesday met with Acting Head of the United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeida Agreement (UNMHA) Mari Yamashita to discuss the situation in Hodeida.
Al-Mawshaki emphasized the UN's crucial role in alleviating civilian suffering and implementing directives to facilitate civilian movement. He condemned alleged violations by aggression's mercenaries in southern districts, particularly an attack in Hays that killed an entire family, and linked these actions to Zionist aggression in Hodeida.
Major General Mohammed al-Qadri condemned repression and torture of civilians in Tihama region by Tariq Afash, calling for UNMHA to visit secret prisons in the area.
Brigadier General Hussein al-Daif highlighted alleged recruitment of Takfiri elements from southern and eastern provinces for training in the UAE and deployment to Sudan, claiming this negatively impacts Yemen's reputation and threatens Red Sea navigation. He also alleged weapons and drug smuggling through Mokha military port.
Mari Yamashita praised the national team's cooperation and expressed the UN Secretary-General's concern about the impact of port damage on civilians. She provided an update on her communications with UN Headquarters regarding Hodeida situation.
