The agricultural sector in Jihana District, Sana'a province, launched on Monday agricultural activities in model and open summer schools.
During the inauguration in Asnaf Sub-District, attended by the Director of the Youth Office, Ahmed Silan, and the Mobilization Officer of the sub-district, Mohammed Al-Rasabi, the head of the agricultural sector in the district, Mohammed Al-Hajj, explained that the agricultural activities in the summer schools include planting various fruit-bearing and ornamental trees.
He noted that these agricultural activities are part of the accompanying plan and summer programs, which aim to raise awareness among workers and students about the importance of agriculture and its positive role in resilience.
For his part, Mohammed Al-Fa’eq, Chairman of the Bilad Asnaf Development Association, emphasized the importance of agriculture and planting economically valuable trees in achieving self-sufficiency as part of the steadfastness battle against aggression and blockade. He called for expanding the cultivation of grains and fruit-bearing trees.
