The British newspaper The Times eported that Britain is providing Ukraine with "Ikea-style" dummy weapons aimed at "deceiving the Russians."
In its Sunday edition, the newspaper stated: "British forces are sending Ukrainian troops... Ikea-style models resembling air defense systems and tanks to mislead the Russians and lure them into targeting fake assets."
According to the report, Britain aims to exhaust Russia’s ammunition by destroying these "decoys."
The newspaper also noted that British forces seek to make Russia believe London has sent more weapons to Kyiv than it actually has.
The Times wrote: "Experts take digital images of the military equipment Britain sends to Ukraine, print them onto materials shipped to Kyiv, where the Ukrainian army assembles them within hours."
Russia believes Western arms shipments to Ukraine hinder conflict resolution and represent direct NATO involvement.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that any shipment containing weapons for Ukraine would be a "legitimate target" for Russia.
The Kremlin has warned that Western arms deliveries to Ukraine undermine negotiations and will have negative consequences.
