Ramallah - Saba:
The Palestine Center for Prisoners' Studies said that what the Israeli newspaper Haaretz revealed about violations at Sde Teiman prison constitutes conclusive evidence of systematic war crimes against Palestinian detainees. The center called for urgent international action to hold the occupation leaders accountable.

The center explained in a statement that the testimony of an Israeli soldier who served at the prison revealed harsh torture practices, including deliberate medical neglect, starvation, preventing prisoners from using the bathroom, and even performing surgeries without anesthesia. The center emphasized that "many entered the prison alive and left it in bags."

It pointed out that the seriousness of the testimony lies in its being issued by an eyewitness and published in an Israeli newspaper, which gives it legal credibility. It added that this testimony is consistent with what human rights organizations have documented about the "death prison," where dozens of prisoners from Gaza have died as a result of torture and neglect.

The center concluded by calling on international human rights organizations to document the testimony and transform it into a legal tool for prosecuting the occupation leaders before international courts.
