Former European Union foreign and security policy chief Josep Borrell confirmed that half of the bombs that Israel drops on Gaza Strip and commits genocide with them come from European countries.
Borrell's remarks came in a speech he delivered on Friday while receiving the Carlos V European Prize in Monastery of Usti, Spain.
Borrell stressed that "Israel" is committing genocide in Gaza Strip, criticizing the failure of European Union countries to take action to stop it, pointing out that "half of the bombs that fall on the Gaza Strip come from us (Europeans)," adding that "the European Union is not doing its best."
Borrell pointed out that Gaza is witnessing the largest ethnic cleansing operation since World War II with the aim of creating a tourist resort after the elimination of the Palestinians, in reference to a project proposed by US President Donald Trump, which aims to transfer the Palestinians of Gaza to neighboring countries under the pretext of turning the strip into a global tourist destination.
On Friday, 40 MPs in the British House of Commons sent a letter to Foreign Secretary David Lammy asking him to investigate reports that the export of military equipment to "Israel" continues, despite the partial suspension approved by the British government.
A report issued by three human rights organizations recently revealed details of British arms exports to Israel, accompanied by official documents from the Israeli tax authority.
