[10/ May/2025]
Beijing - Saba:

China and the United States have offered to mediate a de-escalation between India and Pakistan after the latter announced the launch of a large-scale military operation against India.

According to GK News, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated "China is closely following the developments between India and Pakistan and expresses its grave concern over the current escalation."

The Chinese Foreign Ministry strongly urged both sides to act in the interests of peace and stability, exercise restraint, return to the path of political settlement through peaceful means, and avoid any action that would exacerbate tensions.

The US State Department reported that Secretary Marco Rubio spoke with Pakistani Army Chief of Staff General Asim Munir, noting that he continued to urge both sides to find ways to de-escalate the situation. Rubio also offered America's assistance in initiating constructive talks to avoid future conflicts.

Pakistani security sources announced this morning to local Geo TV that the Pakistani armed forces had launched a large-scale military operation against India, described as a "direct response to ongoing provocations from the Indian side."

The sources confirmed that the operation includes concentrated military strikes, without revealing further details regarding the targets or targeted areas.
