The College of Medicine and Health Sciences at Ibb University organized a scientific symposium titled "Pediatric Emergencies: Urgent Care and Rapid Intervention" on Thursday.
The symposium, attended by 250 medical and healthcare professionals from across the province, aimed to exchange expertise and present the latest diagnostic and treatment methods to enhance emergency care efficiency. These efforts contribute to reducing the impact of urgent medical conditions on children's health and community well-being.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Mawlid, Minister of Youth and Sports, emphasized that such scientific initiatives reflect the resilience and awareness of educational institutions in keeping pace with advancements in research and knowledge across various fields.
Governor Abdulwahab Salah praised Ibb University’s pioneering role in nurturing future generations and providing qualified professionals to the workforce.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Matari, President of Jiblah University, attended the event, while Dr. Ahmed Abu Lahoum, Vice President of Ibb University for Student Affairs, stressed the importance of applying the symposium’s outcomes to improve emergency pediatric services in the province.
Dr. Bashir Al-Amawi, Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, described the symposium as a platform for knowledge exchange and a step toward enhancing medical and healthcare performance.
