The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) affirmed that "the heroic shooting operation that took place at the Rayhan checkpoint west of Jenin comes in response to the Zionist enemy's massacres and heinous crimes against our people in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, and against our prisoners in enemy prisons."
The movement said in a statement that "this operation is the most eloquent response to all the enemy's attempts to extinguish the flame of resistance in the West Bank, and a new blow against the annexation and displacement plans against our land and our people in Gaza, the West Bank, and Al-Quds."
