A meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Dr. Radwan Al-Ruba’i, with members of the Fertilizers and Pesticides Committee at the ministry.
Attended by Kamal Shamsan, Director General of the Quality Control Department for Production Inputs, the meeting discussed the committee’s workflow and performance as the first committee of its kind established by the ministry to reform policies and operational methods in fertilizer and pesticide management.
The meeting approved the formation of a team of experts and academics to review the foundations, standards, and regulations for correcting the fertilizer and pesticide management policy, which had been prepared by the ministry’s specialists. It emphasized that this represents a fundamental pillar in improving work procedures, removing obstructive measures, and protecting land resources as one of the most important agricultural components—especially amid the blockade and aggression Yemen is facing.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Ruba’i praised the committee’s performance within the framework of institutional work, which aligns with the current phase’s requirements and contributes to vertical production expansion and enhanced food security.
