The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced the detonation of a minefield targeting an Israeli force east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Al-Qassam Brigades said in a military statement on Wednesday: "Our fighters were able to detonate a pre-prepared minefield targeting a mechanized Zionist force, killing and wounding them on al-Awda Street, east of the al-Farahin area east of Khan Yunis."
It added, "Our fighters then pounded the area with several mortar shells, and observed a destroyed vehicle being withdrawn and a helicopter landing for evacuation."
