The Administrative Board of the Sana'a Local Council discussed, in its meeting on Tuesday, chaired by governor Abdulbasit al-Hadi, requests related to the implementation of several development projects in the province.
The meeting, which included the Secretary-General of the Local Council of the province, Abdulqader al-Jilani, and members of the Council, Abdulsalam al-Jaifi, Mahyoub Mahdi, and Ali al-Suhaili, reviewed proposals and requests from several offices regarding the implementation and completion of a number of service projects.
The committee reviewed the report of the committee tasked with studying the structural and architectural condition of the existing building of the Excellence School in Qa' al-Qaydi in Sanhan and Bani Bahloul districts. The Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs, Acting Director of the Executive Unit for Projects, and Engineer Abdulrahman al-Murtada were assigned to conduct a field visit and submit the necessary solutions.
The Authority approved nine community initiatives projects, including educational, agricultural, water, and road projects, at an estimated cost of 409 million and 136 thousand riyals. It also approved the construction of an emergency center at Omrah Hospital, at a cost of 154 million and 323 thousand riyals.
The meeting also reviewed a presentation by the Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs at the Governorate Diwan regarding the approval of the second phase of the project to dig a well in the Upper Yemeni village of al-Hijrain in al-Husn district. The Authority also approved the rock cutting modification works for the sewage network project in Bayt Sabtan in New Sana'a district, the governorate's capital, at a cost of 6 million and 237 thousand riyals.
At the meeting, Governor al-Hadi emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to advance the level of development in the province, focusing on everything that would alleviate the suffering of the community and create a viable infrastructure in various fields.
