Tulkarm under 100-day aggression.. Israeli still destroys homes
[06/ May/2025]
Tulkarm - Saba:

Israeli enemy forces continue their aggression against the city of Tulkarm and its camp for the 100th day, and against the Nour Shams camp for the 87th day, amid ongoing escalation on the ground, resulting in significant human and material losses to property and infrastructure, and ongoing provocations against Palestinian civilians.

According to the Palestinian WAFA News Agency, the city witnessed intense activity last night and this morning by Israeli enemy vehicles and infantry units, patrolling the main streets and neighborhoods, specifically around the Martyr Thabet Thabet Roundabout and the streets of Al-Haddadeen, Al-Alimi, Nablus, and Shuwaika. They intercepted the movement of citizens and vehicles, provoking and harassing them, and firing live ammunition and sound bombs.

WAFA News Agency reported that Israeli enemy forces raided a number of homes and arrested a young man from his home in the eastern neighborhood, who is a Civil Defense officer, and another young man from his home in the southern neighborhood. They also raided the home of a former detainee, the Director of Political and National Guidance in Tulkarm, and searched it, destroying its contents.

Over the course of the 100 days, the city and its two camps, Tulkarm and Nour Shams, and their suburbs, have been subjected to a stifling siege, repeated raids, and systematic attacks on Palestinian homes and infrastructure. These attacks have transformed the camps and residential neighborhoods in some areas of the city into military barracks, after several were seized, their residents displaced, the infrastructure and property destroyed, and their entrances sealed off with earth mounds.

This escalation coincided with the Israeli enemy beginning to implement its plans to alter the features and demographic composition of the two camps and empty them of their residents. Last Thursday, it issued demolition notices for 106 homes and residential buildings in the two camps, including 58 in Tulkarm camp and 48 in Nour Shams camp. Yesterday, it began demolishing 15 residential buildings in the Manshiyya neighborhood of Nour Shams camp.

In implementation of this plan, the Israeli enemy announced last night its intention to demolish 19 more buildings, comprising more than 50 residential units, in the Al-Jami' and Al-Maslakh neighborhoods in Nour Shams camp. The Israeli army gave Palestinian residents two hours this morning to evacuate their belongings.

Despite prior coordination with the residents to enter their homes in the camp to evacuate, they are being obstructed by enemy forces, who chase them, detain them for hours, threaten them, and fire live ammunition and sound bombs at them, including Red Crescent Society crews and support teams.

The Israeli enemy continues to seize homes and residential buildings on Nablus Street and the adjacent northern neighborhood, turning them into military barracks after forcibly evacuating their residents. Israeli forces have positioned their vehicles and bulldozers in the vicinity.

The ongoing Israeli aggression and escalation against the city of Tulkarm and its two camps resulted in the deaths of 13 Palestinian civilians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens were also injured and arrested, and the infrastructure, including homes, shops, and vehicles, was completely and partially destroyed, burned, vandalized, looted, and stolen.

The aggression also resulted in the forced displacement of more than 4,200 families from the Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps, comprising more than 25,000 residents. 396 homes were completely destroyed and 2,573 partially destroyed, in addition to the closure of their entrances and alleys with earth mounds.
