Bethlehem - (Saba):
Zionist settlers began setting up tents on Monday in the Minya desert, east of Bethlehem in the West Bank.
Local Palestinian sources reported that a group of Zionist settlers began setting up tents on lands in the Abu Diya area, for settlement purposes.
The same sources added that the Minya desert, which includes the areas of Fateh Sadra, al-Tina, Hajjar, Wadi al-Abyad, Abu Diya, and Rabia, has previously been subjected to repeated attacks by settlers under the protection of Israeli occupation forces. These attacks included the setting up of tents in most areas, as well as attacks on farmers and shepherds, including the firing of live ammunition and tear gas canisters. They also confiscated wheat and barley crops and a number of sheep.
