[05/ May/2025]
Moscow - (Saba):
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced early Monday that the Russian Defense Ministry's air defense forces in the city of Podolsk repelled an attack by four drones flying towards Moscow, and that preliminary information indicated no damage or casualties.

Sputnik quoted Sobyanin as saying on his Telegram account, "The Defense Ministry's air defense forces in the Podolsk region repelled an attack by four drones heading towards Moscow."

He added, "According to preliminary data, no damage or casualties were recorded at the crash site." He confirmed that "emergency services are working at the scene."

The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Sunday that its airstrikes hit a missile launcher for the Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missile system, infrastructure facilities at military airfields, and facilities of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.

Ukrainian forces target populated Russian border areas in the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and Rostov regions, as well as Crimea, on an almost daily basis, with drones and missiles.

Since February 24, 2022, the Russian Armed Forces have been conducting their special military operation aimed at demilitarizing Ukraine, eliminating threats to Russia's security from Ukraine, and protecting civilians in Donbas.
